Albufeira hosts the European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country

This Sunday Albufeira hosted the European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country 2026, bringing together some of the leading European clubs and athletes in the discipline. The fan-favorite mixed relay race brought victory to SL Benfica (representing Etson BARROS, Teresiah GATERI, Isaac NADER, Salomé AFONSO), while senior women race was won by SC Braga (Jackline ROTICH, Mariana MACHADO, Laura TABORDA, Vanessa CARVALJO)

The race organized by Algarve Federation of Athletics took place as part of the International Cross Country Race under European Club Foundation auspices.

With more than 400 athletes in entry list, the even incorporated classic XC disciplines with following results:
