Hyundai Porto Half Marathon 2024
On September 15, Porto hosted one of the fastest races of the autumn season the 17th edition of the Hyundai Porto Half Marathon, which saw more than 2,400 athletes at the start line. The route remained unchanged from the previous year: starting near the Arrábida Bridge and finishing in the city center, with a course running along the Douro River, offering scenic views of Porto’s historic center and Vila Nova de Gaia.
The course stood out for its nearly perfect profile: flat, fast, and ideal for personal bests. Compared to 2023, weather conditions were excellent: around 19°C and almost no wind.
The event was organized by Runporto, known for its efficiency with hydration points every 5 km, medical assistance, pacers, volunteers, and well-managed media coverage.
