IRONMAN Portugal 2024

On October 19, 2024, Cascais hosted another edition of the Ironman series in Portugal. The city welcomed both the full Ironman distance and the Ironman 70.3 format.

Over 1,800 athletes lined up for the full distance. The swim segment took place in the marina near Praia da Ribeira. That was followed by a 180 km bike course along the Marginal road toward Lisbon, passing through the mountainous area of Cascais and famous Formula 1 racing track. The race concluded with a 42.2 km run along the coastal line. As tradition dictates, the finish line was set on the Cascais seafront promenade.
