Montepio Meia Maratona Cascais: foggy and fast

On last day of January and first of February, annual running race in Cascais took place. For the 10th consecutive time since 2016, Montepio Meia Maratona Cascais brought the fast route and great atmosphere to participants. Glorious Cascais Bay acted as the main stage for the event as well as start and finish line

This year marked foggy and wet weather, none of which were an obstacle for runners on every distance: 21.1km, 10, 5 or even kids race. More than 4000 finished the half marathon race and 3500+ people crossed the finish line at 10k. Overall count of participants, according to race organizer HMS Sports, reached 12,500.

The fastest athletes on a 10k route were Hermano Ferreira with 31:23 on the clock and Joana Fonseca at 37:51. Roberto Ladeiras (1:07:47) and Rita Ribeiro (1:22:44) finished first at 21.1k race.
