São Silvestre de Espinho 2026

January 4th marked the first Sunday of 2026 and traditional, 11th consecutive start of São Silvestre de Espinho, labaled by organizers, Running Espinho as the most exciting race in Portugal.

As usual, three distances were offered to participants – general 10km, walking 5km and kinds race and this time more than 2000 individuals were involved.

Runners and walkers enjoyed warm greeting by local crowd as well as the warm sunny weather. This and the miscellaneous route along the oceanside and city streets offered participants a great opportunity to set impressive results. As indeed triumphants of 10km race of São Silvestre de Espinho did. DIOGO ROSÁRIO and SOLANGE JESUS got the gold with 30:16 and 34:13 respectively.
