Sprint National Championships — XXXIX Oeiras Triathlon

The 39th edition of the Oeiras Triathlon served as the stage for the Portuguese Sprint Triathlon Championships, attracting around 1,200 athletes. Adverse sea conditions led organisers to cancel the swim leg, converting the event into a sprint duathlon — 1.9 km run, 20 km bike, 5 km run. José Ferreira (Sporting CP) and Inês Rico (CN Torres Novas) took the national elite titles.

Elite Men

José Ferreira (Sporting CP) broke away on the second run to claim the men’s national title, with clubmate Dinis Ferreira finishing as runner-up. João Canadas (CN Torres Novas) rounded out the podium in third.

Elite Women

Inês Rico (CN Torres Novas) delivered a consistent race to win the women’s title. Her club swept the podium entirely: Cassilda Carvalho took silver and Catarina Santos bronze, both also representing CN Torres Novas.
