Taça da Liga Futsal Finals: Benfica dominate men’s final, Nun’Álvares win women’s title on penalties

The final stage of the Taça da Liga de Futsal Placard concluded in Gondomar on Sunday, March 15, in front of an animated crowd of around thousands of spectators.

In the men’s final, SL Benfica delivered a dominant performance, defeating Eléctrico FC 7–1. The Lisbon side took control of the match early and maintained their intensity throughout, leaving little room for their opponents to respond. For Eléctrico, reaching the final marked a historic milestone, while Benfica secured their fifth Taça da Liga title.

Carlos Monteiro put Benfica ahead after just 10 seconds, with Jacaré (11′), Eduardo Tchuda (17′), Silvestre Ferreira (27′ and 39′), Arthur (36′) and Edmilson Kutchy (38′) scoring throught the game.

The women’s final GCR Nun’Álvares and SL Benfica was far tense ordeal for both teams. The match ended 1–1 in regular time, forcing the title to be decided in a penalty shootout resulting in 5–4 in Fafe team favor.

The Taça da Liga de Futsal, curated and organized by Portuguese Football Federation brings together top eight teams of the national league after the first round, who compete in a knockout format leading to the final. Over the years, Lisbon rivals Sporting CP and SL Benfica have emerged as the dominant forces in the competition.
