Vila Flor SC continued its impressive 2026 beach soccer campaign with a 10-1 victory over GD Sesimbra in Round 12 of the Campeonato Elite at Matosinhos Beach Stadium on Sunday.

The league leaders produced dominant performance, with Tim Filipe Santos, Pedro Mano, Tony Almeida, Bê Martins, Ricardo Silva and José Henrique Sampaio among the goals as Vila Flor collected another three points. The result keeps the club at the top of the Campeonato Elite standings with only two rounds remaining in the regular season.

Also as a part of match day in Matosinhos, GDU Ericeirense defeated CF Chelas 6-3, while GR Amigos Paz beat Leixões SC 3-1.

The current campaign continues the rise of Vila Flor in Portuguese beach soccer. After earning promotion to the Elite division in 2024, the club finished third in both its debut Elite season and the 2025 championship, before claiming the first national trophy in its beach soccer history by winning the Supertaça earlier this year. With another victory, Vila Flor remains firmly in control of the title race.
